Asclepias viridifloraCommon Names: Green Milkweed, Short Green Milkweed | ![]() ![]() | Soil: Dry Dry-Mesic |
| Height: 1 ft - 1.5 ft | ||
| Blooming: Jun Jul |
Unique flowers do not have hoods, like most native Milkweeds. Not a common species in our area. There is a thin-leaved and wide-leaved form. Both exist in Kalamazoo county, but the thin-leaved form seems more abundant. Very drought tolerant and long-lived. The seed source for this stock is our property, which only has the narrow-leaved form.
